Covid-19 Information regarding the Staged School Re-Opening to children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6
Woodthorpe has remained open for children of Key Workers and vulnerable children since Monday 23rd March.
School’s have been asked to plan for a staged re-opening for some children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 from Monday 1st June. We will not know whether this is happening until Thursday 28th May.
Thank you to parents/carers who have let school know that they would like a school place for their child. Letters have now been emailed to relevant parents/carers, giving further information about what the re-opening with look like for children who return to school. The school Risk Assessment for further staged re-opening has been emailed out too, and it is also on the website. Please read these documents and familiarise yourself and your children with this before they return to school.
We will get in touch before each Friday to inform you of the days your child will be offered the following week.
Here are some additional documents you and your child/ren may find useful.
Our School Website
Welcome to our school and website. We have included lots of useful information about the school, the classes, the curriculum and the many exciting things that we do at school. You will also see photographs of events and learning experiences that the children take part in.
Our curriculum provides a broad range of opportunities. Children learn through themed topics, in which staff plan a variety of first hand experiences and use creative and imaginative teaching to make learning exciting and memorable.
Our children are amazing. They are polite, respectful and welcoming, and we are proud of their achievements. The staff work incredibly hard to foster positive relationships with children, parents, visitors, the community and the parish. We can achieve great things by working together as a team. We are proud to be a church school and enjoy a verypositive and supportive relationship with Derby Diocese.
We hope you enjoy looking at our website and find it useful. If you can not find the information you are looking for, please contact the school directly where someone will be happy to help.
Thank you for visiting.
